I have Amazon qae interview tomorrow. Can you please tell me what questions were asked apart from this?
1. Look for the metrics dashboard which shows us the sudden fall in the order processing, Check if those dashboard is working properly or not. because if the fault is in dashboard module the we need not to dig further in.
2. Check if new build is released which caused problem, roll back the new change immediately as its causing direct impact to the customer.
3. Check if there are any modules which can cause the bug in order processing module which was released yesterday onto production.
4.Check network configuration issues in certain countries, coz amazon is a global company and if the server is down in USA or India, it might cause huge downfall in orders.
5.Check if any amazon deploying components are down like Load balancers or any other AWS services.
1. Check if any underlying drivers or plugins had updated overnight which might cause bugs in other modules.
2. Check for any security issues like hacking or injections.
3. Check for the availability of products, I mean DB connections and web service work performance.
4. Check for website UI issues or general bugs like submit button not visible/working or the related web service call not happening.
5. Order processing involves actual hardware in delivery centers, check all related scenarios on them like their hardware update, software update.
6. Amazon data center workers on strike and not processing orders.
