JPMC Singapore Coding Test
For JP morgan, prepare core java end to end. 90% of the questions are from core java. Regarding coding test, the question would be very simple as I told before, but, they evaluate you on your programming skills, consider, performance whenever you program. Try to have nearly 100% test coverage and not to mention, logical solution. Let me know if you need more information on the same.
Thanks a lot for your valuable info. So we should JUnit test cases for all the classes?Could you provide any link where can I practice these kind of problems ?
Looks like you have got shortlisted in test and interview. Congratulations and thanks again for your inputs.
I am not having any standard links, but you can check on Junit test cases with test coverage rules. Generally it is expected to have high test coverage results, which says junit test case written for every logical implementation (method), with max, min, null, +ve, -ve scenario.
Finally I gave my test today. I couldnt do very well as I have not been able to generate expected output. Problem is they give us trades.csv and sourcesystems.csv and currecy codes.csv files. They want us to perform some validations on trades and batch them as per the next available batch (hourly or 6 hourly) and generate csv file with details like trade id, is valid, error, batchname. I couldnt manage time really well as reading CSV files itself has taken some time for me :-(
Thanks for sharing your written test experience. Some times, they might not look for the results, rather the approach of solving the problem, as they explained to me. All the best.
But not to mention, their test and interviews are really challenging. We may need a different level of preparation to get into JPMC Singapore. But entering into such companies is worth a shot.
If you are in Singapore, is there any meetups happening in Singapore, where people who are looking for job change in Singapore can interact and prepare as a group?
I am not having much hopes as the problem is very straight forward but I still couldnt complete it in time..yes JPMC is definitely one of the best companies to work for in Singapore and we need a thorough coding practice and vast knowledge of Java. Am in Singapore am not aware of any meetups happening, I often check Careercup for preparation. Actually your inputs have really helped, thanks for that but I couldnt fully capitalise on that.
I have completed my interview. Question was very simple: 1> convertion of arabic to roman and unifields and vice versa.
Evaluation is based on 3 facts 1> coding style and following coding standards 2> test coverage 3> Logical approach.

I gave my written test yesterday at JP Morgan Changi premises. They had asked for a running and fully testable system to convert between various numeral systems:
1. Arabic or Decimal to Roman and vice-versa
2. Urnfields ('\' represents 1 and '\\' represents 2 and '/' represents 5 so '//' will sum up to 10) to Roman and vice-versa
3. Urnfields to Arabic and vice-versa
I am still waiting for the results.. fingers crossed !!
I too have got a call from JP Morgan for Java. Its a 3 hour test. Have you also given the same test ?
